Description

The Blackmagic Design Studio Fiber Converter is a bi-directional fiber optic interface designed for use with the Blackmagic Camera Fiber Converter. It supports communication with a Camera Fiber Converter up to 1.6 miles away, making it ideal for use in OB vans, television studios, and large venues to transmit video, audio, communication, and control signals over a single SMPTE fiber connection. On the rear panel, you’ll find SDI connections for HD or UHD 4K video and HD return feeds, along with four XLR connections for audio breakout. Additional ports include reference in and out, PTZ, intercom/tally on D connectors, Ethernet, and an SFP fiber connection (SFP cage sold separately). The front panel features a single SMPTE fiber connector for the Camera Fiber Converter and a 5″ display.
